HOW DOES CHARITY CONCIERGE WORK?

It's the best kind of festival volunteering there is. You'll do a series of shifts throughout the festival - with plenty of time off to enjoy yourself. You'll be doing things like providing waiter service, putting up tents, or driving festival taxis.

Want to know the best part?

Concierges raise tens of thousands of pounds per festival, making a real impact for Child.org and our work to spark progress in global child health.

It's a hugely rewarding way to take part in some of the best festivals in the country. Join our mailing list below and we'll be in touch with more information when registration opens.

WHAT COULD YOU BE DOING?

Concierges are not just normal festival stewards! You can find yourself driving golf buggies and providing a festival taxi service to being right in the heart of the action by providing drinks services in the main arena. Fancy yourself a natural leader? Help us manage teams of volunteers as a Team Leader!

Some roles are unique to certain festivals so take a look at our festival pages to see what is available this summer!

Buggy Driver

Help overloaded festival-goers get to and from their camping spots with ease by becoming a Charity Concierge driver and using our fleet of golf buggies! (UK Driving License required).

Buggy Ground Crew

Responsible for running ground operations and logistics; radioing buggy drivers when they are needed, managing queues of customers, and generally making sure the service runs smoothly. Perfect for those who like people and radios!

Team Leader

As a team leader you will be responsible for leading a team during your shifts; for example, making sure they know when and where they need to be before their shift begins. Team leaders operate as a core member of the festival team and you will need to attend an extra briefing and begin shifts 30 mins early to prep and support the team.

Buggy Assistant Manager

As Buggy Assistant Manager, you’ll be overseeing the Buggy Service; you’ll be responsible for delivering an introductory briefing; overseeing the logistics of the buggy service from our Buggy HQ; and managing a team of up to 60 buggy drivers and ground crew.

This role requires significantly more responsibility. You’ll need to be a confident leader, comfortable in public speaking, apt in problem solving and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working in events and/or managing a team would be valued.

If you’re interested, please email hello@charityconcierge.org. We will then share the full role description and recruitment process with you.

Team Mum Champion

*New role alert*

At Wilderness this year, we are looking for 10 volunteers to work with the festival to support the baby changing and breast-feeding huts on-site.

As a maternal health charity, we are passionate about ensuring that these spaces remain safe, clean and relaxed. It’ll be your job to make sure that this is the case - answering any questions, offering help where necessary and sharing more about our charity (you’ll get heaps of information to help you with this).

If you’re passionate about Child.org and what we do, this is the one for you! Plus, these huts will be situated in the main arena, so seriously close to the action.

This role is front-facing and about creating a safe space for parents. We will provide some safeguarding training.

If you’re interested, please email hello@charityconcierge.org, detailing why you’d like to volunteer as a Team Mum Champion.

General Services

The role will be split between helping people put up their tents, and providing a drinks service across the main stages (skipping bar queues to service drinks faster). Be close to the action and experience some of the best performances whilst volunteering at the same time! Please note this role is not available at Camp Bestival Dorset or Shropshire.

General Services Assistant Manager

As General Services Assistant Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing our General Service; you’ll be delivering an introductory briefing to our General Service volunteers; overseeing the logistics of the General Service from our Main Arena HQ; and to manage a team of up to 40 General Service volunteers.

Access Buggy Driver

Child.org and the Access Team have worked together for many years to improve the experience for Access Customers at Latitude.

As an access buggy driver, you’ll help Access Customers and their overloaded bags get from the car park to campsite and main arena.

Working less hours* than our other Charity Concierge positions, you’ll have plenty of time off to explore the festival.

If you’re passionate about going the extra mile and helping Access Customers to enjoy the festival and all its charm, sign up to become an access buggy driver. UK Driving Licence required.

*You’ll be required to work 1 x morning shift (8am-2pm), 1 x afternoon shift (2-9pm) and 1 x 3 late shift (9pm-12am).

WHERE DO THE DONATIONS GO?

lasting-change.jpg

In Kenya, one in 26 babies die before they reach their first birthday. Child.org’s current programmes are empowering new mums, keeping newborn babies safe and delivering school health programmes that support children living in poverty.

Every penny raised by Charity Concierge helps Child.org to help every child access the equal opportunities they deserve. In 2021, Charity Concierges raised over £37,000 for Child.org through volunteers at Latitude and Camp Bestival.

Support someone extraordinary. Be a Charity Concierge.

Child.org’s ‘Pregnant Women’s Groups’ in Meru, Kenya has supported over 4,000 pregnant women, arming them with the support and knowledge they need to keep themselves and their babies safe. The project has also trained over 70 health workers to provide improved quality of care in local communities.

The money raised by Charity Concierge provides crucial funding for projects such as this and for the design and implementation of future life-saving initiatives.
