Volunteer at Latitude Festival

Latitude festival returns to Henham Park in 2024. and this year we have introduced new roles for our volunteers - see below for more information. Registrations are now open - sign up now.

Please note: we no longer have space for more live-in vehicles at our Latitude campsite. If you plan to camp with us, please bring a tent.

 

WHY LATITUDE?

An eclectic lineup bringing visitors some of the best music, comedy and theatre the festival season has to offer (last year George Ezra had our Comms Officer Hattie losing her mind). This year get ready for Duran Duran, Kasabian, Khruangbin, Keane, and so much more. Click here for the full lineup.

An outdoor adventure at your fingertips: soak up some sun on the Latitude lake with some wild swimming, a gondola ride or paddle boarding, or enjoy some forest bathing in the woods where you’ll also find soulful mini-stages, gin bars and meditation stations. You can even take a photo of Latitude’s famed pink sheep!

Activities, activities, activities… and more activities! Latitude’s got yoga, craft activities, interactive art installations, talks, ice baths, saunas, paddle-boarding, the Zen Den (which include the Temple of Connection), an enchanted garden and much more. As a concierge volunteer, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to dabble in your activities of choice.

 

VOLUNTEERING AT LATITUDE

Set within the stunning surrounds of Henham Park, Latitude Festival has been creating unforgettable memories for over 15 years. Let your curiosity guide you through the very best in music, dance, comedy, poetry, theatre, literature, podcasts, family activities and wellness. Your summer adventure awaits.

Our available volunteer roles at Latitude include: Buggy driver, buggy ground crew, general services, team leader, buggy assistant manager and general services assistant manager (see below for more info). You will be asked for your preference on your concierge registration form.

IMPORTANT: If you are interested in an Assistant Manager role, we recommend signing up for another role as well in case you are not successful with your recruitment process.

  • General services concierges are the closest to the action throughout the festival! Provide drinks services across bars and main stages whilst soaking the festival atmosphere. You’ll also be lending a helping hand to new campers pitch their tents when they arrive.

    You'll need to arrive the Wednesday afternoon before the festival to give you time to get set up before the mandatory briefing that evening. The exact shifts will be confirmed closer to the time, but usually you'll have three shifts with a full day off over the main festival. You'll be finished by 10pm on Sunday. 

  • As a Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for a team of 10 - 15 concierges, making sure they know what they are doing and how they can be awesome Concierges. In particular, you’ll need to ensure that your team are present and on time and that they’re aware of their role (you can always ask core management for help). You’ll also need to motivate your team and keep their spirits high!

    You will be working either in General Service or with Buggy Service.

    You'll need to be onsite the Wednesday afternoon before the festival for a briefing. You'll have three 7* hour shifts, with a full day off over the main festival and will finish on Monday afternoon.

    *you may need to attend shifts 30 minutes early to prep and support the team.

  • Child.org and the Access Team have worked together for many years to improve the experience for Access Customers at Latitude.

    As an Access Buggy Driver, you’ll help Access Customers and their overloaded bags get from the car park to campsite and main arena.

    Working less hours* than our other Charity Concierge positions, you’ll have plenty of time off to explore the festival.

    If you’re passionate about going the extra mile and helping Access Customers to enjoy the festival and all its charm, sign up to become an access buggy driver. UK Driving Licence required.

    *You’ll be required to work 1 x morning shift (8am-2pm), 1 x afternoon shift (2-9pm) and 1 x 3 late shift (9pm-12am).

  • As part of the Buggy Ground Crew you will be working in teams to manage the logistics of our festival taxi service. It will be your job to ensure a smooth taxi operation throughout the festival!

    You'll need to be onsite the Wednesday afternoon before the festival for a briefing. You'll have three 7 hour shifts, with a full day off over the main festival and will finish on Monday afternoon.

  • Help overloaded festival-goers get to their camping spots with ease by becoming a Charity Concierge buggy driver this summer! You will be picking up and dropping off guests throughout the festival and so a UK Driving License is required.

    You'll need to be onsite the Wednesday afternoon before the festival for a briefing and to drive around the different routes.

    You'll have three 7 hour shifts, with a full day off over the main festival and finishing on Monday afternoon. If you aren't able to stay until the Monday evening but you're keen to drive a buggy, get in touch with hello@charityconcierge.org.

  • As Buggy Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the Event Manager and be responsible for overseeing the Buggy Service.

    You’ll be responsible for delivering an introductory briefing; overseeing the logistics of the buggy service from our Buggy HQ; and managing a team of up to 60 buggy drivers and ground crew.

    This role requires significantly more responsibility. You’ll need to be a confident leader, comfortable in public speaking, apt in problem solving and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working in events and/or managing a team would be valued.

    We recommend signing up as a volunteer and then submitting your interest for the paid role; then if you're not selected your place is still reserved and we'd reimburse the deposit cost.

  • As General Services Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the Event Manager and be responsible for overseeing our General Services.

    You’ll be responsible for delivering an introductory briefing to our General Service volunteers; overseeing the logistics of the General Service from our Main Arena HQ; and to manage a team of up to 40 General Service volunteers.

    This role requires significantly more responsibility. You’ll need to be a confident leader, comfortable in public speaking, apt in problem solving and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working in events and/or managing a team would be valued.

Concierges will have varied roles at Latitude, depending on the day and time of your shifts. The best concierges are friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. They work hard as well as play hard and are willing to approach people to offer the service, and chat to them about the wonderful work that Child.org does.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • You will be required to pay a fully refundable deposit of £80 when you register. This secures your space before the festival and protects us against people who want the free ticket but aren't planning to do the work.

  • If you cancel within 3 weeks before the festival without a valid reason (please see our Terms & Conditions) then we are under no obligation to return your deposit. The same applies if you fail to attend all of your shifts without a good reason.

  • We will provide you with your Concierge t-shirt, however we ask that you bring your own black trousers/skirts/leggings or other variation of black bottom-half attire to go with this.

  • Concierges will be serving alcohol at the events, therefore you must be over the age of 18 on the starting date of the event.

  • All Concierges will be expected to read and comply with our Volunteer Code of Conduct.
